Short film Bye-Bye by Freddy Chávez OImos will screen beforehand.
The Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival (VHS) is thrilled to announce the exclusive Vancouver premiere of the wildly anticipated feature film V/H/S/85. Vancouver’s very own internationally celebrated queen of horror, director Gigi Saul Guerrero delivers on the sixth installment of the wickedly popular VHS found footage horror anthology film franchise. An ominous mixtape blends never before seen snuff footage with nightmarish newscasts and disturbing home video to create a surreal, analog mashup of the forgotten 80s. The latest chapter in the iconic franchise stars Freddy Rodriguez and James Ransone.
Director Gigi Saul Guerrero, producer Raynor Shima, cinematographer Luke Bramley, composer Blake Matthew and actor Marcio Moreno will join us for an exclusive Q&A hosted by Joel McCarthy. Audiences will have a chance to learn about the making of this film, how the local team behind it have earned their way to the top of the horror industry in Hollywood, and even have a chance to ask questions themselves.
