VHS 2022
In its fifth season in 2022, the VHS took place over four days with screenings held at Cineplex Entertainment and independent cinemas across Vancouver, screened 36 short films and three feature premieres, including the Vancouver premiere of Damien Leone's Terrifier 2. VHS 2022 also introduced the festival's first industry panel sponsored by UBCP/ACTRA -- VHS Talks: "The Female Gaze" -- which featured director Karen Lam, actor and chair of UBCP/ACTRA's women's committee Enid-Raye Adams, and horror scholar and critical analyst Dr. Kelly Doyle.
VHS 2022 saw a record number of attendees, an unprecedented caliber of Canadian talent featured in its programming, and created new networking opportunities for attending filmmakers.
The 2022 festival was featured on Global TV News, CBC Radio, had filmmaker interviews in the Vancouver Sun, and had editorial coverage in the Vancouver Guardian.
