Manuscriptial Compendium 1592 - 1597

$200.00

ANONYMOUS [attributed to Edward Kelly]. Manuscriptial Compendium 1592 - 1597 [A facsimile edition of a Rosicrucian Alchemical Manuscript on The Philosopher’s Stone, containing the Three Magisteriums of the Art, attributed to Edward Kelley]. United Kingdom: Hell Fire Club, nd. [2008].

Facsimile Edition. Full leather with gilt talismanic device on front board. Marbled endpapers. 6¼" x 7⅞".

[ii (blank) + 78pp.] Edition limited to 500 numbered copies (although as often, the limitation notice and number which were supposed to have been hand-written on the verso of the front free endpaper are absent from this copy). Note - this is the first Hell-Fire Club Edition, limited to 500 copies. The publisher appears to have later issued an (unstated) second edition, limited to 200 copies. In addition to the changed limitation statement, the second edition is easily identifiable as it has titling on the front board, which was not present on the first edition.

A Fine Copy.
